Parts of Marae

This is a slideshow I made about parts of a Wharenui.

Shanty Town

On November the sixth me and my class went to Shanty Town.

My favorite part was when we made huts because our group worked well together to make the hut.                                                                                                                                                           We were also told about the types of Jade/Pounamu and their uses they could be used for tools, weapons, carvings and jewelry.

They also told us the story about kehu and how hes a hero in the second part of the story Thomas Brunner gets a stroke but kehu and his wife carry him and their supply's.

Another cool thing about it is that the drive there and back was very short so we could fit in more fun things to do there.
